We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your information in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and applicable data-protection laws of India. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

a) Information you provide when purchasing a licence:

• Your name;
• Email address (to deliver your License Key and tax invoice);
• Phone number (for payment-gateway verification and support);
• Optionally, your company name, GSTIN, and billing address (to issue a GST-compliant invoice).

b) Information collected automatically:

• Usage and device data through analytics cookies (see Section 4), such as pages visited, approximate location, browser type, and referring source;
• Limited technical logs generated by our hosting provider for security and reliability.

We do not collect or store the business data you create inside the application.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To process your purchase and deliver your License Key and tax invoice;
• To verify licence authenticity during activation;
• To provide customer support and respond to your enquiries;
• To issue GST-compliant invoices and maintain records required by law;
• To understand site usage and improve our website and Service;
• To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues.

3. Legal Bases for Processing

We process your information where it is necessary to perform our contract with you (delivering the licence and support), to comply with a legal obligation (such as retaining tax records), with your consent (for analytics cookies), and for our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service. You may withdraw consent for analytics at any time (see Section 4).

4. Cookies & Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors interact with our website. It may set cookies and collect anonymised usage signals such as page views, button clicks, device type, and approximate geographic region. We do not send personally identifiable information (such as your name, email, or phone number) to Google Analytics. You can opt out by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, by blocking cookies in your browser, or by using your browser's privacy controls.

5. Payment Processing

Payments are handled by Razorpay, our secure third-party payment gateway. We do not capture or store your card numbers, UPI PINs, or bank-account details on our servers. All payment information is processed by Razorpay in accordance with applicable RBI regulations and PCI-DSS standards. Your use of the payment gateway is also subject to Razorpay's own privacy policy.

6. App Activation

The Easy GST Billing application connects to the internet only during the one-time activation process. At that time, the app sends your License Key to our server to verify its authenticity. Once verified, the licence is associated with your device and no further business data is transmitted to us.

7. How We Share Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us operate the Service, strictly for the purposes described above:

• Razorpay — payment processing;
• Resend — sending transactional emails (license key, invoice, OTP);
• Google Analytics — website usage analytics;
• Our hosting provider — website delivery and security.

We may also disclose information where required by law, court order, or a valid request from a government authority, or to protect our rights, safety, and property.

8. Data Retention

We retain purchase and invoice information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes set out in this Policy and to comply with our legal, accounting, and tax-record obligations under Indian law. Analytics data is retained for the period configured in Google Analytics. When information is no longer required, we delete or anonymise it.

9. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, and loss, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of the personal information we hold about you, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. 11. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.
